This tier list ranks Dig & Clean items by how hard they actually are to get and how much they're worth once you have them — using the game's own confirmed rarity tiers and drop rates, not a guessed "power score."
Methodology note: we're ranking items by confirmed rarity tier and drop rate (see the Rarity Odds page), adjusted where the confirmed game mechanic itself changes what a tier means in practice — see the Unremarkable tier below for why a low drop rate doesn't automatically mean "good." We deliberately do not produce a strength/power ranking for gear (Shovels, Spray Bottles); see "What This Tier List Does NOT Cover."
S Tier — Ultra Rare
- Clean Necklace — an estimated ~2.0% drop rate, the lowest confirmed odds in the current data. It's also the only item recorded at Ultra Rare, and current sources agree it carries some kind of "special reward" beyond a normal Coins/Kudos payout (the specifics aren't documented — see the item page).
A Tier — Rare
- Rare Sunglasses — Rare tier (~5.9%), and one of the only items tied to a specific, confirmed location (Starter Island — Beach) rather than a generic Workstation result. Reported value is contested across sources ($150–$750), so treat the location lead as the reliable part.
- Old Symbol (Case 36) — Rare tier (~5.9%), 10 Kudos, Workstation cleaning result.
- Ancient Symbol (Case 37) — Rare tier (~5.9%), 10 Kudos, Workstation cleaning result. Functionally identical to Old Symbol (Case 36) in every confirmed stat; no source documents what actually distinguishes the two.
B Tier — Common
- Common Pottery — Common tier (~18.5%), 10 Kudos (museum-worthy).
- Common Jewellery — Common tier (~18.5%), 5 Coins (sell item, no museum value documented).
- Pottery (Case 22) — Common tier (~18.5%), value not documented.
- Bowl — Common tier, but a Storage Crate reward (14 Coins) rather than a direct Workstation result — no confirmed drop rate for the crate mechanic itself.
- Pot — Common tier, also a Storage Crate reward (11 Coins).
Unranked — Variable
- Antique Lamp — listed under a separate Variable rarity classification, not on the Common–Ultra Rare ladder, and current data has no drop-rate entry for this tier at all (the Rarity Odds table only covers Common/Unremarkable/Rare/Ultra Rare). It also pays out an XP boost instead of Coins or Kudos, so it isn't comparable to the currency-based items above on a like-for-like basis — we're leaving it unranked rather than force-fitting it into a tier the data doesn't support.
Bottom — Unremarkable (Filler, Not a Prize)
- Broken Arrow / Broken Glass — an estimated ~5.7% rate, which on drop-rate alone would sit between Rare and Common. We're ranking it at the bottom anyway, because the confirmed mechanic behind it changes what that rate means: it's duplicate-protection filler, substituted in once you've already found or displayed everything new available to you. A lower encounter rate here isn't scarcity working in your favor — it's the game filling a slot that would otherwise re-roll something you already own.
What This Tier List Does NOT Cover
We don't publish a Shovel or Spray Bottle power/value tier list. Community sources currently give several conflicting full price ladders for both gear lines — different names, different currencies, different numbers depending on the source — so any ranking we produced would be guesswork dressed up as data. See the Shovels and Spray Bottles pages for what's actually confirmed about each line, plus the one heuristic that does hold up across sources: upgrade whichever tool is currently your bottleneck.
